Quick tip: if you get jdownloader, you can copy the link location of the video and download it without having to sign up for an account.

I don't think so. Even when trying to add the links on jdownloader it still makes you put in a password.

I've tried downloading with the Firefox addon and have so far failed.

I have signed up with my phone number and not had any problems. No spam texts or anything. Of course, it's entirely up to you whether you do it or not. It's a social network not a porn site, it just seems they either don't monitor their videos, or they don't have rules against pornographic content.
